NATO BMD – Interim Capability
Chicago, USA – 20–21 May 2012
Allies declared an interim BMD capability integrating US and European assets under NATO command and control. This milestone operationalized initial collective defence against ballistic missile threats, with full capability planned through phased enhancements.
